New Girlfriend Is An Equestrian and I Have No Riding Experience?

Okay, I met this girl who I feel is perfect in every way. We both are college students and love animals, except I havent ridden a horse before. She has had her own horse since she was little and she now competes on the college equestrian team. She spends ALOT of spare time at the barn which is great because she does what she loves. My problem is that I havent ridden a horse since my pony ride on my 5th birthday lol. She talks alot about horses to the point where its almost like her kid and I told that I havent ridden a real horse before. I told her that I would be willing to learn how to ride. Since this a big part of her life, should I enroll at a local stable for riding lessons. I dont want her to become disinterested in me because I dont really have the experience around horses. I am a 21 yr old guy, would a stable be interested in teaching me? I know Im not going to be jumping over fences with a lesson or two.
