Boyfriend giving me my first kiss tomorrow. I have sensitive skin but should I wax my upper lip?

I'm self-conscious about some peach-fuzz I have on my upper lip. I probably wouldn't mind if it was blonde or barely noticeable, but they're dark hairs. Plus my boyfriend wanted to give me my first kiss on my 17th birthday tomorrow. I mean he's the nicest, sweetest guy, but still, I don't want him to think I have a 'stache or something haha. I have good quality wax strips here, and it says it lasts for up to 8 weeks, and regrowth is considerably lower. But is it really? ...But I'm worried that with waxing the hair will grow back thicker and faster. Will it? I have sensitive skin, and once I waxed my legs and lots of red bumps appeared on my legs. Should I wax my upper lip?
