Potty training advice?

Hun, dont beat yourself up over this! your daughter will learn, every single child is different! your parents and inlaws should butt out because as you say, you cannot pressure her into going.. kids will learn at a pace that suits them, wether you force it or not! but I would say dont give up now that you have started, bcos your on the right tracks! Just keep it up, and I would advice not reading and stuff on it ( although this seems like a good technique) I found that its better if they think the potty is soley for going for a wee or doodee, try with pull ups and remind her every hour 'oh I think I need to go wee wee, do you want to go wee wee too?' be excited about this feeling of needing a weewee..and altho its hard to keep that up every hour, after 2 weeks i gaurentee she will be saying it to you.. 'mummy do you need a weewee? i need one' Rather than telling her go to the potty tell her your going, and invite her along to sit on the potty next to you! good luck hun, and your doing a good job so far, a year is showing real dedication!
